Job description

Overview:
The Corporate Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program, daily maintenance tasks, and involvement in various projects and start-ups within the organization. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of company facilities and equipment.

This position can be based in a Breakthru Beverage market to operate in a hybrid capacity - two days in the office, three days from home.
Responsibilities:
  • Preventative Maintenance Program
    • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive PM program for all equipment and facilities across the organization.
    • Schedule and supervise routine maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of assets.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve PM procedures to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Maintenance Task Oversight
    • Oversee the day-to-day maintenance activities, including repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment inspections.
    • Work with site maintenance leads to ensure that maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Work with site maintenance leads to ensure accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment history.
  • Project Management
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute maintenance-related projects and initiatives.
    • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
    • Ensure that all projects align with organizational goals and safety standards.
  • Training and Development
    • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for local maintenance associates, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
    • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and hands-on demonstrations to ensure associates understand maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to maintenance personnel to support their professional growth and development.
  • Standard Operating Procedures
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify maintenance processes and procedures that require documentation.
    • Define and document clear and comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various maintenance tasks and equipment operations.
    • Ensure SOPs are up-to-date, compliant with industry regulations, and easily accessible to maintenance associates.
  • Start-ups and Installations:
    • Participate in new facility start-ups, equipment installations, and commissioning processes.
    • Ensure that all equipment and systems are installed correctly and meet safety and quality standards.
    • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Budget Management:
    • Assist in the development of the maintenance department budget.
    • Monitor expenses and strive to meet budgetary targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
    • Promote a culture of safety among maintenance personnel and report and investigate safety incidents.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the maintenance department.
    • Implement best practices and innovative technologies to enhance maintenance operations.
  • Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance management, with a strong background in preventive maintenance.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead and motivate a maintenance team.
  • Project management experience, including budget and resource management.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance operations.
  • Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software.
  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
  • Strong analytic and reporting skills and ability to identify insights, trends, and factors critical to managing success.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines.
  • Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment.
  • Travel up to 50%
Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone
  • Frequently sit, stand, bend, squat, and reach.
  • Regularly lift 45-65 lbs.
  • Must talk, hear, use hands and fingers to operate a vehicle and tech device.
  • Carrying and lifting of up to 65 pounds to perform various duties as assigned for extended periods
  • Frequent reaching with intermittent reaching overhead
  • Standing for extended periods of time to perform various duties
  • Walking for extended periods of time to perform various duties
  • Frequent squatting and/or bending to perform various duties as assigned
Competencies:

  • Requires conceptual thinking to understand complex issues and their implications, where sufficient information may not be available.
