Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Manager, Category Management/Insights to join our team focusing on our Walmart/Sam's customer. Reporting to the Sr Director, Category Management/Insights, the Walmart/Sam's Category Manager will play a pivotal role in driving category growth and profitability through strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making. This individual will work closely with marketing, sales, finance, and operations teams to enhance category performance, engage in key negotiations, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. While this role does not have direct reports, it requires strong influence, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of market trends to support Walmart's/Sam's objectives.

Manager, Category Management Insights- Walmart/Sam's Club:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans aimed at driving category growth and meeting organizational goals.
- Engage in negotiations with key customers to enhance category profitability and revenue, leveraging deep market insights and data analysis.
- Conduct thorough, data-driven analysis to identify opportunities and risks within the category and make strategic recommendations to capitalize on findings.
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders to gain insights into market needs and trends, informing category strategy.
- Utilize data and market insights to craft compelling narratives that influence purchase decisions and foster brand loyalty among key accounts.
- Support the development and execution of promotional plans and new product launches in collaboration with marketing, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Contribute to executive-level reporting on category performance, highlighting key metrics such as profitability, market share, and growth opportunities.
- Ensure alignment of Category Management initiatives with Walmart's/Sam's broader strategic objectives, acting as a key liaison between various functional areas.
- Assist category team with corporate initiatives with marketing, consumer insights, and other cross functional groups.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment, demonstrating strategic thinking and an ability to drive initiatives forward.
- Strong analytical skills, with a track record of using data to inform decisions and drive results.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels and contributing constructively to strategic discussions.
- Broad understanding of marketing strategies, customer development, supply chain implications, and financial literacy.
- Demonstrated capability to navigate complex organizational structures, translating strategic objectives into operational execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proficiency in analyzing syndicated and panel data, and in developing executive-level presentations and reports.
- Preferred - Planogram/MOD tool and systems experience
- At least 3 years of experience in Category Management or a related field, with a strong preference for experience in the FMCG or CPG sectors.
