AtlanticLIVE has won numerous awards for its events, including the Adweek Best in Events, BizBash and Anthem Awards. AtlanticLIVE seeks a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and service-minded Manager of Audience Development and Engagement to join our team and contribute to the growth, development, and execution of AtlanticLIVE's editorial events and programs. Beyond delivering curated audiences and white-glove client service, this new role will help to optimize processes & workflows, innovate our offerings inclusive of how we utilize our data to drive more audience engagement, and look for opportunities to add value to AtlanticLIVE's business model.
Responsibilities of the Manager of Audience Development and Engagement include:
Audience acquisition and experience
- Manage audience engagement arc from initial invitation to post-event reporting
- Mine all available first party data sources to curate targeted audiences for each event
- Conduct thorough research to develop customized and targeted audience lists for events ranging in scale and topic
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to track deliverables and timelines and to provide consistent progress reports
- Ability to recognize and pivot strategy mid-campaign if necessary
- With support of manager, continually assess market for research and software based tools
- With support of manager, help define tasks for and manage activities of contractor support during busy periods
- Lead on strategies that support prospect-list growth
- Shape front-of-house attendee experience and customer service, interfacing with guests at paid, free, in-person, and virtual events
- Experience with working on paid/ticketed and non ticketed events
Email and communications
- Strong research and writing skills; craft compelling marketing messages that engage audiences
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns and recruitment strategies to achieve registration, ticket-sales, and attendance goals for events
- Organize written assets within a clean, useable knowledge management system
- Manage dedicated customer service inbox, providing timely and accurate support to enhance audience experience with LIVE
- Collaborate cross-functionally on cross-platform audience efforts, e.g. with Consumer Strategy & Growth on email performance, and subscriber benefits and acquisition at events
- Own and manage email-marketing calendars for cross-team collaboration
- Collaborate on multi-channel marketing and recruitment efforts
Data Reporting and Strategic Insight
- Manage data reporting and analysis projects to inform event-specific and overall strategy
- Implement data-driven insights to improve engagement and conversion rates
- Ability to translate data into actionable next steps/report outs/Year over year changes
- Lead audience recruitment and engagement reporting around events, sharing insights with per-event stakeholders and with the larger team
- Create and conduct surveys to to better understand event audience behaviors and perceptions, and help inform best practices on how AtlanticLIVE events evolve
- Track event Audience Development, evolving recruitment strategies as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally on analytics, e.g. acting as event stakeholder in setup and optimization of data integration processes
- Lead efforts to update databases and lists with audience and audience partner information
Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience in events, marketing or relevant fields. Prior experience managing email marketing efforts in an ESP (Sailthru preferred)
- Foundational knowledge of email design with HTML and CSS
- Prior experience with data reporting and analysis (Looker and Google Analytics preferred)
- Prior experience with event experience software and hardware (InEvent preferred)
- Keen sense of curiosity, organized, and highly collaborative
Salary Minimum: $60,000; Salary Maximum: $75,000 + Annual Bonus
