Right now, we are in search of a Chief Marketing Officer ("CMO") to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This person will be passionate about leading our team to deliver industry-leading, consumer marketing to build and grow Pabst’s beverage portfolio. The Pabst CMO will drive the development of marketing strategies, innovation strategies, consumer marketing and communication, media strategy, new product development, and new marketing platforms to position Pabst Brewing Co. and partner brands for growth and long-term success. The CMO will be, most importantly, responsible for the training, development, retention, and acquisition of the next generation of Marketing Talent at Pabst.

What you'll do:
- Lead the development and execution of the integrated marketing communication strategies to effectively promote Pabst portfolio of brands. Manage advertising, public relations, digital marketing, content marketing, social media, and other communication channels.
- Drive brand awareness and purchase intent that translates to increased sales and brand growth.
- Champion and drive product innovation – from inception to on-shelf; including pipeline development, market analysis, brand positioning, route to market, etc. to create unique opportunities for Pabst to win in the market.
- Champion the role and use of consumer insights in the Organization in strategy and decision making.
- Source, develop and manage external marketing agencies ensuring delivery of results.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives. Utilize data analytics and insights to drive data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the marketing department and with your cross-functional partners. Collaborate as a real, respectful partner with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and achieve business objectives.
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across various marketing activities. Monitor expenses and provide regular reports on the return on investment (ROI) of marketing initiatives.
- Stay abreast of and understand the competitive landscape and consumer trends using syndicated data, consumer insights, and research.
- Ensures effective integration of brands plans/activities with other functional areas, resource allocation and financial planning for assigned brands.
- Develop best-in-class multi-media campaigns to drive growth while championing our core consumers.
- Attracts, leads, manages, and mentors employees to ensure retention, development, and superior performance of talent.
- Serve as a brand ambassador and champion of Pabst.
- Achieve volume, profit, and brand health targets and drive execution across all elements of marketing mix.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration or related field required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- 20+ years’ experience in consumer products marketing – overseeing multiple national and regional brands; prior bev/alcohol industry preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to drive brand strategy, product development/innovation and commercialization to revolutionize category identity and growth. History of breakthrough thinking and delivering unique marketing concepts and plans that differentiate a business.
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in marketing principles, strategies, and best practices are essential. A deep understanding of various marketing disciplines such as digital marketing, brand management, product marketing, advertising, and market research is crucial.
- Deep experience in leadership and people management with the ability to successfully inspire, lead, and mentor.
- A track record of strategic thinking and execution skills combined with strong analytical and project management skills.
- Ability to use third party point-of-sale data (IRI, Nielsen, or equivalent) to drive business decisions and connect marketing strategy to customer preferences.
- Impeccable writing ability and a passion for design.
- Awareness of cultural and consumer trends
- Prior experience in Beverage Alcohol and with the 3 Tier System preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Smartsheet
- Experience with digital marketing tools and techniques
