Description

TSAChoice, Inc., is now hiring for the position of Managed Services IT Sales Engineer at our office in Greenville, SC! POSITION SUMMARY

The Managed Services IT Sales Engineer will be responsible in supporting the outside sales staff by designing and estimating Managed Services IT Solutions. The Managed Services IT Sales Engineer will provide accurate estimates and scope of works to clients by collaborating with vendors, contractors, and sales team to understand client requirements. The Managed Services IT Sales Engineer will maintain in-depth knowledge of company offerings via training and research.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Managed Services IT Sales Engineer:

  • Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects.
  • Prepare, review, and evaluate cost estimates and scope of works in detail for all products.
  • Ensure timely completion of estimates and consult with industry experts on accuracy and design of proper solutions.
  • Understand the scope of work to bid.
  • Prepare costs analysis and recommend ways to reduce costs.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Identifying and quantifying all cost factors involved in the project.
  • Obtain material pricing from vendors and organize all the information necessary to create and submit proposals to clients.
  • Maintain records of estimated and actual costs.
  • Use detailed spreadsheets and company-approved formulas to calculate the project costs of proposed projects.
  • Help in researching and developing new products.
  • Responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process.
  • Serve as a technical resource by responding with correct and prompt information to sales and operations team requests related to designing IT solutions, support infrastructure, installation, implementation, and commissioning.
  • Interpret project blueprints and other construction documents at a high level of understanding, including but not limited to plans, specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
  • Assists in developing IT Solution design templates, standards, and guidelines to improve department accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit RFI/RFP responses before the due date to clarify discrepancies in the specifications, plans, or scope of a project designed by an outside architect/consultant.
  • Responsible for proper product application, accurate estimate generation, and detailed proposal creation based on customer requirements, construction document constraints, and known performance standards.
  • Develop detailed project scope of work to summarize in clear terms the system functionality specific to client/end-user needs for each project.
  • Work with integrators to calculate an accurate estimation of job hours to complete the project based on the scope of work.
  • Assist Outside Sales to assess project functionality to compose a bill of materials that accurately reflects the project scope of work.
  • Work with the sales team to technically advise on the sales of products.
  • Explain the technical aspects and functional aspects of a product or service to users.
  • Be familiar with all the technical aspects and issues of the products or services.

OTHER FUNCTIONS

The Managed Services IT Sales Engineer may also:

  • Attend required sales engineering meetings.
  • Provide advanced training and support for the sales team.
  • Conduct in-depth product demonstrations of products/services.
  • Complete remote site survey (as needed) of project location(s) to assess site conditions, recognize potential difficulties, and compile all information to share with the project team.
  • Other duties as assigned to assure customer satisfaction and the profitable operation of TSA Choice.
Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education/Credentials

  • Bachelors Degree and/or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • 3 years experience in Managed Services IT estimating or Sales Engineer.
  • 3 years business to business experience.
  • Experience designing and estimating IT solutions using technologies from VMWare, Azure, Dell, HP etc.
  • Familiarity with QuoteWerks a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Managed Services IT Sales Engineer works primarily in an office environment. This may include travel up to 75% to different client and corporate locations. Hours include some evenings and weekends.
