THE OPPORTUNITY
Upon joining the team, you will quickly be assigned to work on one or more client-facing engagements, helping to drive towards the right level of resiliency for their organizations. You will apply the clients’ proven process to implement business continuity and crisis management-related programs that are uniquely tailored to the organization you are working with. The ultimate goal is to ensure that our clients are prepared for a disaster or business disruption and have the right capabilities to respond following an event. You will work through the business continuity lifecycle of identifying the scope and direction of the program, interviewing business leaders to identify requirements and risks, developing response and recovery strategies, and documenting plans to make strategies repeatable. You will also work closely with clients to exercise and test response and recovery strategies and identify ways to manage activities over the long-term. The clients we work with are extremely diverse and range from small businesses and non-profits to Fortune 500 companies.

Primary initiatives to be immediately addressed within this opportunity include supporting the design and development of third-party risk management procedures and tools, and the management and improvement of the third-party risk management program requirements. Activities will include:

  • Identifying, assessing, and monitoring existing, new, and emerging third-party risks by leveraging tools and processes developed in coordination with client stakeholders.
  • Facilitating third-party risk working sessions with stakeholder across the client organization to drive results.
  • Consulting with business continuity and business / enabling functions to support in-depth third-party risk analyses as a result of a business disruptive event.
  • Analyzing third-party compliance with client policies and Service Level Agreements (SLAs); help standardize third-party risk contract language across the enterprise.
  • Partnering with Third Party Vendor Management and regional teams to align with the client’s business continuity third-party guidelines.
  • Optimizing third-party risk management tools and systems based on Lessons Learned to continually improve the program.

The client’s specialized business continuity/resilience consultants are characterized as high-performing team members who are driven, intelligent, logical, and have an excellent ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form. You will quickly build and maintain relationships and must be able to navigate the strategic and tactical levels of any organization you work with. You will typically operate in a matrixed environment, depending on the particular client engagement to which you are assigned. You can be assured that you will have the opportunity. Executes and manages business continuity-related project tasks.

  • Responsible for delivering client-ready work, such as analysis and planning.
  • Develops the knowledge and skills to be viewed as a subject matter expert.
  • Participates in customer meetings and initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for additional work and supports customer initiatives prioritization.
  • Works closely with project managers and other team members to improve team performance.
  • Other duties as assigned by client and project leadership.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Sourcing, or Compliance or higher educational qualification is required.
  • Preferred certifications include CBCP, MBCP, MBCI, or FBCI, which showcase your commitment to excellence in business continuity.
  • A proven track record of 5+ years in performing business continuity consulting services, with a focus on third-party risk, audits, and vendor contract management systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in Global Supply Chain preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in Ncontracts or similar platforms preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to manage complex relationships with customer leadership, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Outstanding writing and presentation skills to effectively convey complex concepts and recommendations.
  • Superior analytical skills, enabling you to assess and address intricate resilience-related challenges.
  • Experience within global supply chain management preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to provide exceptional client service, surpassing expectations and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Flexibility and creativity in applying industry practices to solve complex problems, adapting to unique client needs.
  • Familiarity with enterprise risk management concepts and practices is preferred.
  • Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
