A facility in Atlanta, GA is looking for a Mammography Tech.

REQUIREMENTS:

• ARRT

• BLS

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience

• Hologic equipment, Agfa PACS, Nuance (Powershare) experience is a plus

• Travel experience preferred

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:

Start date : 12/25/2023

13-week contract

40 hrs/week

5x8, Days, Monday to Friday 8:00a-4:30p

Uniform: Cherokee Electric Pink or Cherokee Caribbean Blue

Weekend/Call/Holiday Requirements:

Weekend: None

Call: None

Holiday: 2 major, 2 minor

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs radiologic mammography exams per department protocol including advanced Mammography procedures like stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, drainages

• Perform the quality control functions related to mammography

• Perform mammography procedures in a technically proficient manner

• The Mammography Tech in this department provides care for adult patients between 18 to 64 years

• Perform high quality radiologic and mammography exams on incoming patients

• Assess patient’s medical condition, age, size and other related medical conditions to determine if patient is able to undergo mammography examination and to how best to obtain optimal results/images

• Immobilize patient as required for appropriate examination, explaining the need for breast compression during mammography

• Assume responsibility for mammography equipment and reports equipment malfunction

• Demonstrates the ability to operate mammography and biopsy equipment properly

• Conducts daily, weekly and monthly QC testing to ensure the quality control functions related to mammography
