We are seeking aMake Ready Analyst to analyze pole data, measurements, and pole attachments to meet National Electric Safety Code (NESC) standards for wire attachments spacing regulations on a power/telephone pole, and in the midspans with the goal of mitigating Make Ready costs for the project.They will also be able to work successfully in partnership with our Engineering Services Leadership teams. Responsibilities

  • Identify existing pole conditions which Include electrical equipment, pole configurations, and third party attachers.
  • Proficient understanding to read and understand construction prints, documents, and Make Ready summaries and industry specs.
  • Proficient level ability to work within pole collection software such as Katapult, IKE, SPIDAcalc, Ocalc, and other similar applications.
  • Create 3-dimensional model of poles in O-Calc and Spida-Calc to provide results to ensure safe and proper attachment to power and telecommunication poles.
  • Tracking of submittals and schedules in combination with our existing permitting team.
  • Oversee drawings using ArcGIS, AutoCAD or other electronic drawing packages as required.
  • Coordinates with team to determine appropriate scope of pole attachments including NESC standards for cable attachments, spacing and midspans regulations, and utility pole owner regulations.
  • Create Make Ready summaries for various agencies utilizing pole owner requirements.
  • In coordination with management and administrative staff, resolve issues with quality, timeliness, or other concerns.
  • Promote and ensure the company image through exercising sound and ethical business practices as related to employees, the public, and customers. This includes ensuring that service and quality provided to customers is satisfactory through all levels of the administrative staff.
  • Collaborate and team with coworkers, partners, and customers in all areas of responsibilities to develop and implement the best solutions.
  • Escalate conditions that give reason to believe that attainment of goals may be in jeopardy.
  • Establish relationships with pole owners and power utilities and be the point of contact for questions and deliverables with the agency.

Qualifications we are looking for

  • 5 or more years of experience with similar work is required
  • 2 or more years of engineering administrative experience OR 5 or more years of field engineering experience is required
  • 2 or more years of experience of Katapult, IKE GPS, O-Calc, Spida-Calc, or other similar programs is required
  • 2 or more years of experience of outside plant or joint use permitting experience is required
  • Knowledge of NESC standards for cable attachments, spacing and midspans regulations, and utility pole owner regulations is required
  • A valid Driver’s License is required
  • Excellent computer skills with the advanced Word, Excel, Outlook, Quickbase, and PDF skills.
  • Ability to communicate in English both written and verbal, preparing reports and plans.
  • Reasoning in communication with employees, vendors, and clients.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sudden priority shifts without gaps in productivity and with an understanding attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and accepts increased responsibility.
  • Highly responsible, resourceful, accurate, dependable, and self-motivated.
  • The ability to embrace corporate values, understands the company mission, and exemplifies CCI leadership behaviors.

Shift isfull-time, 40 hours per week minimum, Monday – Friday, within the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST. Further schedule determinations TBD by hiring teams. Must be flexible, and willing and able to work outside normal business hours as necessary.

Additional Information

  • Travel will be approximately 25%.
