Maintenance/Handyman

R&K Specialized Homes, Inc. is a provider of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician (handyman). This is a full-time employee position within the company. This is not a temp or contractor position.

This position will complete minor repairs and home maintenance on R&K's group homes and day habitation facility. Tasks may include but are not limited to: patching/repairing or hanging drywall, fixing minor leaks (faucet, toilet, shower), installing appliances (washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove), repair/replace flooring (tile, laminate, etc), moving furniture when needed.

This position requires the use of a personal tools.

Job duties include:

• Ensuring that all assigned homes are well maintained and considered safe according to standards set forth by the company and/or regulating agencies
• Assist with retrieval, delivery and/or arrangement of household and office items to proper locations
• Processing and/or completing work orders for the group homes
• Reconciling of petty cash/receipts
• Able to work independently and without constant direction from supervisor
• Travel to various job sites in and around San Antonio.

Conditions of Employment

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must have a current and valid Texas driver's license
• Must be able to show proof of current auto liability insurance coverage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.23 per hour
