UPMC is hiring a full-time Maintenance Worker to support Western Behavioral Health at Twin Lakes in Somerset, PA.
The Maintenance Worker responds to the maintenance calls and performs regular preventive maintenance tasks. They also maintain the flexibility to perform general maintenance operations and any other task deemed necessary.
There are a couple of shift opportunities, including: 7:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. or two 12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday with two 8-hour weekday shifts. Shifts will include some holidays. Free parking available on site. Some travel is required to transport clients, for which a company car will be provided. The incumbent will be joining a supportive, team-oriented work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance work with minimal supervision.
- Respond to service request calls in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation and finishing of painted and wallpaper surfaces.
- Respond to the needs of employees, departments or other organizations with courtesy, respect and a positive outlook that reflects the team effort of the department.
- Cycle and emergency maintenance of light bulbs and ballasts.
- Construct and reconfigure cubicle.
- Complete work orders assigned.
- Install wall hangings, pictures, bulletin boards, etc.
- Install locks & door-closures, re-key cylinders, and cutting keys.
- Move different items including boxes and furniture.
- Exhibit, both verbally and behaviorally, a commitment to the values of service excellence in carrying out on-going duties.
- Assist in the troubleshooting and repair of plumbing fixtures, piping systems, repair leaks and open clogged drains.
- Maintain a positive outlook and interactions with co-workers, which contribute to the team effort of the department.
- Carry out minor patching and painting.
- Serve as a role model of service excellence for UPMC Health Plan by providing quality services that are responsive to client needs, proactive in scope and accessible in nature.
- Maintain safety pertaining to electrical devices.
- Abide by the policies and procedures of the UPMC Health Plan Facilities department.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of electricity.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry/hardware repairs.
- Ability to work overtime when necessary.
