Maintenance Worker (PT) - Harleysville, PA
Peaceful Living is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Worker. The primary purpose of the Maintenance worker is to ensure the routine maintenance of all Peaceful Living properties, including but not limited to the administrative office, day programs and community homes, in alignment with Life Safety, OSHA and 6400, 6600, 2380 regulations at the direction of the Lead Maintenance Staff.
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate and ensure routine maintenance of Peaceful Living's vehicle fleet.
- Ensure physical plant safety and maintenance of all community homes, using best practice and ensuring regulatory compliance with the 6400 and 6600 regulations.
- Ensure physical plant safety and maintenance of all Creative Gifts locations, using best maintenance practices, while ensuring regulatory compliance with 2380 regulations
- Document the competed maintenance orders such as routine service to heating systems, fireplaces, water and sewer systems, alarms, sprinkler system and fire extinguishers.
- Participate in Department of Health Life Safety inspections, as directed.
- Participates in annual and ongoing licensing inspections with Department of Health and Department of Human Services, as directed
- In coordination with the department director ensures landscaping and plowing needs for all community homes and day program locations, to protect the health and safety of the individuals served and Peaceful Living employees
- Provides on-call maintenance support and coordinates services in the event of maintenance emergencies, at the direction of the department director
- Other job duties as assigned
Education/Experience
- High school diploma, Associate's degree, certifications (ie: HVAC, electrical etc) preferred
- Must have at least 5 years supervisory and physical plant management experience
