The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs mechanical equipment and maintains facilities. This is a 3rd shift position. Hours are Sun-Thurs. 11p-7a.
Maintenance installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment and fixtures. Conducts complex maintenance activities primarily on machinery and related equipment. Maintains repair and maintenance records. Troubleshoots problems and resolves complex and high priority issues. Typically, has more than 5 years of experience and works under general direction.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician II maintains and repairs mechanical equipment and maintains facilities.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for general knowledge of any / all job-related machinery, equipment, and work instructions.
- Troubleshoot, repair and perform routine maintenance on all mechanical equipment.
- Perform maintenance work on physical plant facilities.
- Assist with identification and acquisition of parts and technical information needed for present and future repairs.
- Document equipment history, labor and material costs
- Install new equipment and relocate existing equipment within the facility.
- Design, build and install items such as platforms, transformer stands, machine guards and handrails.
- Perform wire and stick welding.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhere to all safety procedures.
Position Qualifications
- Mechanical, welding and fabrication skills
- Plumbing skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Basic computer skills
Experience
- 6-10 years
- Minimum 10 years repair experience in a manufacturing environment
