Job Description
Our company specializes in the maintenance, remodeling, and turnaround of residential apartments and homes in Central Los Angeles. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with a diverse skill set in construction and remodeling to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in various trades and capable of ensuring all work meets current building codes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform interior and exterior painting tasks to high standards.
- Conduct stucco repair and patching as required.
- Install vinyl plank flooring and base molding with precision.
- Proficient in rough and finish electrical and plumbing work.
- Experience in snaking main lines and regular plumbing lines.
- Skilled in tile installation for bathrooms and kitchens.
- Perform framing, drywall installation, and repairs.
- Capable of roof repairs to prevent leaks.
- Install doors, door knobs, windows, closet doors, toilets, sinks, faucets, shower heads, vanities, kitchen cabinets, garbage disposals, window screens, countertops, etc.
- Basic concrete work and landscaping tasks as needed.
- Handle garbage hauling and dumping responsibilities.
- Conduct apartment clean-outs and prepare units for new tenants.
- Ability to show apartments to prospective tenants.
- Install Ring Cameras as part of security measures.
- Welding skills are a plus but not required.
- Ensure units are remodeled to Section 8 standards and pass inspections.
- Experience in apartment turnarounds to make units "rent ready" after tenant move-outs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in construction or maintenance, particularly in residential settings.
- Proficiency in multiple trades including painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Possession of own tools and reliable transportation.
- Flexible availability for both full-time and part-time positions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
Salary and Benefits:
