What you'll be doing day to day
As a Silo Technician, responsible for the efficient operation of the automated silo in support of the Distribution / Customer Fulfillment Center, you will: Assume major responsibility for the silo automation Material Flow Control System (MFC). Maintain the silo Warehouse Management System (WMS) and related stock keeping and storing strategies. Respond to silo related system issues, implement troubleshooting methods and report disruptions. Operate and maintain conveyor and cranes associated with the automation and/or silo. Maintain regular communication with operational partners in support of unit daily goals. Contribute to positive silo activities by proactively following working routines and reduce silo downtime. Coordinate and support third-party suppliers with silo maintenance, system updates, or other actions associated with the silo and/or components. Maintain a clean and safe work area in all locations within the fulfilment unit. Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.

QUALIFICATIONS
Previous material handling equipment experience preferred. Technical knowledge of silo conveyor and cranes Strong written and verbal communication skills Requirements Ability to lift, sit, stand, and walk for length of shift. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
