**Job Type:**: 3/4 - Full-Time
**Salary:**: $21-25, based on experience
**Overview:**
As a Maintenance Technician I, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our rental units are in pristine condition and ready for new tenants. This position covers a wide range of duties from cleaning, painting, and performing basic repairs, to light plumbing and electrical work. We are looking for a motivated individual who is a team player, eager to learn, and operates with a high level of integrity.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare units for new tenants, ensuring they meet our standards of excellence.
- Perform maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, painting, cleaning, minor electrical and plumbing repairs, drywall repair, working on appliances, diagnosing issues, and more.
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues efficiently and propose effective solutions.
- Work closely with the maintenance team supervisor to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Uphold safety standards and comply with building codes and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, addressing their maintenance requests courteously and professionally.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience in maintenance, handyman work, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
- Ability to handle plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a vocational school or trade apprenticeship is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be coachable, with a willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
