What we are looking for

Paradise Rental Group is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of our vacation rental properties. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in preserving the quality and functionality of our properties, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests.

What you'll do

• Maintain clear and open communication with management regarding maintenance needs, schedules, and significant issues.
• Complete maintenance tasks and projects, traveling between multiple worksites each day.
• Provide cross-coverage when necessary to ensure urgent issues are addressed immediately.
• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC; maintain hot tubs as needed; and perform general handyman work.
• Available to respond promptly and effectively to maintenance emergencies, such as plumbing leaks or power outages.
• Keep track of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance tasks and ensure adequate inventory levels.
• Ensure all properties meet safety standards, including installing and maintaining smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and security systems.
• Document all maintenance and billing details accurately.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks or repairs as required for the properties.

The skills you'll need

• Organizational Skills: Capability to maintain organized records, schedules, and inventory for multiple properties to ensure smooth operations.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems, and general maintenance tasks. Two to three years of property maintenance experience is preferred.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to ensure all properties are well-maintained within deadlines.
• Problem-Solving: Aptitude for identifying and resolving maintenance issues promptly and effectively, often under time constraints.
• Attention to Detail: Thoroughly inspect properties for maintenance needs and ensure all tasks are completed to high standards.
• Adaptability: Ability to handle various maintenance tasks and adapt to different property layouts, equipment, and systems.
• Teamwork: Collaboration with other Maintenance Technicians, cleaning staff, and property management to ensure cohesive and efficient operations.
• Problem Anticipation: Proactively anticipate potential maintenance issues and take preventive measures to minimize disruptions.
• Safety Consciousness: Commitment to maintaining safety standards and protocols to ensure the well-being of guests, staff, and properties.
