Maintenance Technician - Electrical

The Maintenance Technician is a multi-craft position that requires a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic (PLC). This position provides emergency and routine maintenance support to the operations departments in an industrial/automated environment. Strong knowledge of Electrical Controls is preferred.

What You Will Do at Acme:

• You will successfully troubleshoot, install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment as directed.
• Work to perform troubleshooting using a PLC.
• Identify parts and supplies as needed to perform assigned tasks using manuals, catalog, etc.
• You will confer with operators and observers, tests, and evaluates operations of machinery and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Disassembles machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
• You will repair, replace, adjust, and align components of machinery and equipment orders or fabricates replacement parts.
• Complete test-runs on repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
• Records repairs, maintenance performed and machine maintenance information utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship with those contacted in the course of work activities.
• Adhere to all Safety Policies and always wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Other related duties as assigned.

Your Education & Experience:
 

• Associates degree in Electronics, General Technology, or related field and 2+ years industrial maintenance experience.
• Must be proficient in the following areas:  Electrical, PLC, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics.

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Completion of training programs as assigned and/or required including standard of work.

Physical Requirements:
 

• The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms or legs to perform job tasks. 
• Must be able to reach above and below shoulder height to move product.  This includes the ability to move throughout all areas of the facility.
• Ability to climb stairs.
• The ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects using hands, arms, back, abdominal muscles, shoulders, legs, or a combination of these muscle groups.
• The ability to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job duties.
• The ability to work in cold (-10 to 45*F) and wet environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times.

• Follows EHS, GMP, HR and other company policies.
• Wear required PPE.
• Follow mandated OSHA regulations.
• Report all incidents including near misses immediately.

Compensation Range:  $30.00 - $43.00/hr.
