Maintenance Technician Ehh

Job Brief 

Etz Hayim Holdings is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance department. This position will be responsible for responding to maintenance requests, preventative maintenance of our production and warehouse equipment, and general facilities maintenance. This position will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Etz Hayim Holdings owns and operates the brands Cycling Frog and Lazarus Naturals, as well as a sprawling operation that spans from farming over 300 acres of hemp, extraction, chemical processing, packaging, supply chain and warehousing to support both brands and private label customers.

Cycling Frog is normalizing the consumption of casual use THC products. We want to change the way THC is consumed and viewed by our society by focusing on lower potency, ready to drink beverages that can easily fit into anyone’s lifestyle. Under the Federal Farm Bill it is legal to sell these low potency THC products across all 50 states via the internet, and anywhere you can grab a beer.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintenance 

• Conduct equipment maintenance and repair, while maintaining cleanliness standards and good operation in compliance with our Quality requirements and operational needs.  
• Assist with verification and validation of maintenance SOPs, to include start up and close down procedures. 
• Perform Preventive Maintenance (PMs) for all equipment as assigned. Document action of the PM in our CMMS to ensure compliance with the schedule. Report any deficiencies or abnormalities. 
• Document spare parts used within our inventory system. Report any low stock items to the supervisor.
• Partner with Production, Quality and Sanitation departments by ensuring equipment is functioning properly. A key aspect is being readily available on the production floor during daily start up.
• Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP and GFSI requirements, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.
• Respond to live/urgent work requests. Able to assess and communicate the issues - including triage, repair needed and estimated time.
• Assist with new equipment installation and attend training related to operating and maintaining the equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other systems
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices. (Conveyors, material handling equipment, piston fillers, mixers, inkjet printers, sensors, etc)
• Heavy equipment operation and preventive maintenance - Forklift (Sit down, stand-up and stand-up reach, Pallet Jack (manual and power), scissor lift. 
• Work with line operators, leads and supervisors on root cause analysis for downtime, waste, equipment failure. Assist with solutions from a maintenance point of view.

Facilities

• May include but not limited to replacing light bulbs, limited plumbing/electrical (if licensed), interior painting (if applicable), and general upkeep.
• Routine inspection of buildings and grounds as assigned. 
• Maintain orderly and clean work areas - Parts storage organization, maintenance cage and satellite maintenance work areas (Production floor, Warehouse, office, etc.)
• Office furniture assembly, assist in office and furniture moves as requested. 
• Warehouse racking assembly and repair. Replace damaged racking components. 

Attributes

• This is a hands-on, fast paced position that requires a maintenance tech. that enjoys spending their day on the production floor.
• Move with a sense of urgency with an eye on the bigger picture. Taking care of the internal customer helps the external customer. 

Requirements and Skills:

• 3+ years as a Maintenance Tech. 
• 2+ years of experience in maintenance at food and/or beverage facilities. 
• Experience at multiple sizes and maturities of companies, specifically at start ups and mid-stage companies.
• Ability to work independently. 
• The ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented.
• Self-starters that can be relied on to complete assigned tasks correctly and timely. 
• Software experience: experienced at Google Sheets/Excel, ERP experience, and the ability and interest to learn new software
