GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Takes lead on projects and provides guidance to junior maintenance workers
- Responsible for repairs to plant equipment, installation of new equipment, and building maintenance as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintains a positive attitude amidst unplanned events and a willingness to be flexible with work volume and type.
- Willingness to contribute to the greater plant as a liaison to safety, quality, engineering, or production programs.
Pay Rate/Hourly Rate: $27.00 - $30.00 - dependent on relevant experience and education
Shift/Working Hours: 7a-3p
- Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of buildings and equipment.
- Knowledge of PLCs with ability to program.
- Must be able to calibrate and troubleshoot food safety critical control points (CCCs).
- Ability to weld, to include stainless Steel
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment; work with low voltage DC and 120, 220 and 480-volt AC power based on Electrician guidelines.
- Repair, assembly and/or installation of various valves, food grade and non-food grade, pumps and motors, perform rotating equipment repair such as replacement of seals, impeller, casings and bearings.
- Repair refrigeration and air conditioning equipment; work with ammonia and Freon with proper licensing.
- Performs relief work as a Boiler Mechanic, as licensing and schedules necessitate.
- Obtain necessary permits for Hot Work, Confined Space, LOTO as needed and in accordance with Company Safety Protocols.
- 2 Year Degree from credited program
- 5-7 years' experience preferred. Prior experience in a Industrial/food manufacturing facility preferred.
- Mechanical Repair, General Welding, some Electrical Troubleshooting, PLC troubleshooting, ability to use hand tools and hand-held power tools
- Basic computer skills
- Serves as "on call" outside of standard scheduled hours.
