Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician will be a multi-skilled professional responsible for maintenance issues that arise at Dairy Block. It may be necessary to have a qualified skilled technician or vendor called. At which time the technician will work with that external vendor in a partner/supervisory role. The technician will participate in an ‘on call’ rotation over the weekends and be expected to complete weekly rounds. Additional requirements include responding to work orders, and proactively finding maintenance issues around the property.
As an evergreen company It is important that the equipment and properties are maintained to a high standard of care for both longevity and cost effectiveness. Thus, increasing value presently and over time.

Key Responsibilities:
• Performs broad range of maintenance duties & responsibilities including, but not limited to:
o Routine building maintenance
o Knowledge of facility security systems
o HVAC systems knowledgeable
o Knowledge and skills in plumbing, carpentry, painting, light drywall, groundskeeping, light electrical services, vehicle servicing, signage maintenance, and other tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Identifies items still under warranty at assigned properties and acts as liaison between direct supervisor and vendors as necessary
• Performs and/or manages monthly cycled activities as assigned including preventative maintenance, fire alarm systems, elevator inspections, HVAC preventative maintenance, electrical matters, etc. as required by municipal/state/federal guidelines
• Responds to assigned work orders when designated during business hours and when designated as the after-hours on-call representative of the company
• Assist in making Dairy Block first in fun and excitement, freshness and as landlord of choice to its tenants and customers
• Ensures a winning customer experience that provides an outstanding environment for customers, tenants, employees, the larger community and shareholders

Qualifications:
• Must have reliable transportation to get to/from the workplace.
• Must be able to work rotation thru on-call schedule.
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and mobile applications as needed for maintenance services.
• Must be able to operate and service snow removal equipment such as shovel, snowplow or snow blower.
• Ability to lift up 50 pounds.
• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions.
• Must understand and possess impeccable customer service skills.
