We are a property management company looking for a Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility of preserving and maintaining our properties in the best possible condition. Candidates for this position must be reliable, detail-oriented, resourceful, self-motivated, organized and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. This position is responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks that requires experience in carpentry, light plumbing & electrical, painting & drywall, light HVAC, landscaping, exterior maintenance (i.e. siding and roofing repair), and project management (i.e. coordinating / supervising subcontractors). The ideal candidate will be seeking long-term employment with the opportunity for growth.
Responsibilities
- Inspect buildings and mechanical systems to ensure they are functioning properly and in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs (replace light bulbs, install electrical fixtures, switches, outlets, etc.). c
- Maintain HVAC equipment (bleed boilers, replace air filters, light repairs, lighting furnaces and water heaters).
- Maintain and repair plumbing systems to ensure functionality (replace / repair pipes, install shower diverters / valves, replace plumbing fixtures, repair / replace sump pumps, etc.)
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
- Routinely perform general repairs & improvements (locks, windows, paint, drywall, cabinets & shelving, door replacement, smoke / CO detector installation, etc.).
- Minor pest control (mouse baiting and spraying pesticides).
- Conduct general exterior upkeep such as trash removal, landscaping (i.e. trimming bushes, cutting branches, spreading mulch).
- Ensure that projects are completed on-time and within the permitted budget.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as Maintenance Technician.
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and other residential systems.
- Adaptable to using maintenance management & time tracking software.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Must have tools and equipment. Some tools can be provided.

Schedule:
- Full Time (40 hours / week).
- Monday - Friday.
- 9am - 5pm (8:30am - 5pm w/ 30 min lunch).
- On call.
- Weekends as needed.
- Overtime available.
