Job Description
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faulty machinery
- Installing new production equipment
- Create and implement maintenance standard operating procedures based on specific machine knowledge
- Performs mechanical repairs and removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools
- Work with 2D and 3D computer-aided design and manufacturing software such as CAD or CAM
- Repair methods, including welding, inserting, or replacing items, will need to be made with consideration to quality, cost, and delivery
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories
- Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Complete required documentation, manually or by data entry
- Organize safe maintenance principles for regulating and scheduling breakdowns
- Equipment/asset care and Planned Preventive Maintenance processes and procedures
- Prioritize and complete daily work orders
- Overall plant maintenance and other directives as requested by management
- Participate in 5S, Quality, Safety, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing activities
- Comply with Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards, procedures, and instructions
- Maintain and improve high product quality by setting/managing proper welding conditions
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of maintenance experience in automotive manufacturing or a production environment
- Robotic maintenance experience is a MUST
