Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a multi-campus institution with vibrant, urban campuses in Boston, Massachusetts, in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts, and at several satellites and instructional sites throughout the Greater Boston area. Job Description:


Reporting to the Provost, the Director of Special Projects in Academic Affairs will provide support and leadership to special projects and grant initiatives in Academic Affairs. They are responsible for managing new project development and supporting the launch of new projects in Academic Affairs.


Responsibilities:


  • Participate in grant proposal meetings for new initiatives.
  • Conduct research for proposals, including outreach to faculty and staff.
  • Support completion of grant proposals in collaboration with Grants Office and BHCC Foundation.
  • Collaborate with faculty and other division personnel in proposal development and project execution.
  • Oversee posting process to fill vacancies for special projects.
  • Support departments impacted by special projects (e.g. construction, new programs).
  • Collaborate with Grants Office on Perkins budget development and reporting.
  • Support innovation request process.
  • Collaborate with Division of Workforce and Economic Development and other Divisions on new initiatives.
  • Support class scheduling for contracted credit-classes through Workforce and Economic Development.
  • Advance equity and access for students to high-quality programming supporting entry into meaningful, sustainable career opportunities.
  • Work with Academic Deans on projects as assigned by Provost.


Requirements:


  • Master's degree in relevant field.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with grant proposals and reporting.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Experience using data to inform programmatic decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with federal grant.


Additional Information:


Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 Actual salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
