10-12 hours/day
Salary range is $18 – $30/hour, depending on experience
The Maintenance Technician is committed to supporting our client as they continue to be the leader in extrusion die and feedblock quality and technology by performing systematic preventive maintenance on all shop equipment and machinery to include but not limited to trouble shooting, repairs and diagnostic tests on lathes, CNC machines, grinders and other equipment while incorporating industry best practices.
- Reading and interpreting shop drawings.
- Servicing and maintaining equipment.
- Inspecting and assessing the functionality of equipment and machines.
- Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
- Repair various shop equipment/machines and conduct preventative maintenance in accordance with industry standard best practices.
- Operating forklift, when needed.
- Adjusting/repairing mechanical parts using various hand and machine tools.
- Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner through written and verbal communications in all interfaces with customers/public, fellow employees, vendors, etc.
- Ability to use appropriate computer programs (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite) which includes having proficient computer skills and the ability to adapt and learn as programs and processes change.

At a minimum, the Maintenance Technician must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, along with 3+ years of proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, 2+ years of general electrical experience, and 2+ years of proven lockout/tag out process/procedures experience. An associate degree, in related field of study, or trade school certification along with 1+ years of proven experience as a Maintenance Technician and 1+ years of proven lockout/tag out process/procedures experience is preferred.
