Maintenance Technician

This position is part of our second shift. Candidates must be available to work from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m.

JOB BRIEF

Maintenance Technician ensures the installation, repair and preventive maintenance of equipment used throughout the plant/facility. Oversees maintenance of processes in order to reduce mechanical downtime and keep product flows and production lines running at maximum efficiency.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Continuously drive the facility's culture toward a higher level of safety
• Ensure the department's activities remain or exceed the standards and specifications established by quality assurance team
• Schedule maintenance activities with hourly production supervisors
• Create, approve, process, track and distribute work orders
• Manage preventive maintenance program with Plant Manager
• Identify and resolve maintenance problems associated with production process and equipment
• Manage the maintenance spare parts inventory
• Drive maintenance key performance indicators
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 5+ years Maintenance Technician experience in a food production plant
• Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
• 3-5 years of demonstrated leadership and guidance experience
• Knowledge of 5S standards
• Working knowledge of FDA Food Safety Regulations and HACCP
• Understanding of SQF/GFSI Certification and Program
• Proficient skills with personal computer and job-related software including Microsoft Office products
• Detail oriented and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-oriented environment
