JOB BRIEF
Maintenance Technician ensures the installation, repair and preventive maintenance of equipment used throughout the plant/facility. Oversees maintenance of processes in order to reduce mechanical downtime and keep product flows and production lines running at maximum efficiency.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Continuously drive the facility's culture toward a higher level of safety
- Ensure the department's activities remain or exceed the standards and specifications established by quality assurance team
- Schedule maintenance activities with hourly production supervisors
- Create, approve, process, track and distribute work orders
- Manage preventive maintenance program with Plant Manager
- Identify and resolve maintenance problems associated with production process and equipment
- Manage the maintenance spare parts inventory
- Drive maintenance key performance indicators
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 5+ years Maintenance Technician experience in a food production plant
- Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
- 3-5 years of demonstrated leadership and guidance experience
- Knowledge of 5S standards
- Working knowledge of FDA Food Safety Regulations and HACCP
- Understanding of SQF/GFSI Certification and Program
- Proficient skills with personal computer and job-related software including Microsoft Office products
- Detail oriented and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-oriented environment
