Summary/Objective We have a current opportunity to join our team for an experienced Maintenance Technician. Candidates should have at least 3 years of Industrial Maintenance experience with specific responsibilities for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing production filling and packaging equipment. Familiarity and/or experience with the following equipment is preferred:
- Overflow, positive displacement, and piston fillers.
- Automatic and semi-automatic bottle fillers.
- Automatic tube fillers.
- Automatic capping and torquing machines.
- Steam-jacketed mixing kettles.
- Hitachi inkjet printers.
- Cylindrical wrap and two-side bottle labelers.
- Cartoners; and other specialized equipment
- PLC experience
- Electric Motors
- Gearboxes and associated equipment.
- Some experience with
- Electrical
- Pneumatics
- Plumbing
- Pipefitting
- Air Compressors
- Boilers
- Chillers.
Technicians report to the Maintenance Supervisor and work with their teams to ensure optimal line productivity, understand the Process Capability of lines and equipment; and be part of Focused Improvement Team efforts as part of FMI Continuous Improvement Culture.
Some weekend and overtime work will be required. Technicians will drive preventative and predictive maintenance; troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems; assist in the control of downtime by informing production personnel of maintenance; fabricate repair parts; maintain equipment, parts, and supplies, placing and expediting orders and verifying receipt; provide mechanical maintenance information by effectively collecting, analyzing, summarizing information, and answering questions and requests; and maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with all procedures, rules, and PPE.

Work environment/Physical demands This is a service and support role and is critical to FMI daily and long-term operations. It will sometimes require weekend support, frequent climbing of stairs and platforms, and the physical demands of repairing and rebuilding equipment.
