Summary

At Growers’ Co-Operative Grape Juice Co., Inc., our Maintenance Technicians are responsible for scheduled, unscheduled and preventative maintenance work on a wide variety of equipment used in juice manufacturing. This position requires an individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and a skills base which includes troubleshooting, general mechanicalknowledge, industrial electrical troubleshooting, pumps,plumbing, pneumatics and general fabrication.

Essential Job Functions

• Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial processing equipment to include Inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary.• In the event of an equipment issue the technician will need to work with operators to collect information as well as through observation and testing of machinery or equipment to diagnose the malfunction.• Effectively complete preventive maintenance tasks per aschedule.• Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdowns and failures.• Completes all required documentation in the Electronic Work Order system.• Support the facility’s food safety and human safety programs.• Perform other duties as required by supervisor.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma (or equivalent), Formal training in Maintenance

Position-Specific Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.• Ability to work flexible hours if needed.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 100 pounds.• Must be able to push and/or pull up to 25 pounds.• Must be able to continuously stand and/or walk for extended periods of time on concrete surface.• Ability to repeatedly kneel, bend, crouch, reach, climb and/or stoop throughout the shift as needed to successfully perform job duties.• Ability to safely work at heights from lifts, platforms, stairs and ladders.• Successful completion of a post offer drug screen and background check required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
