Summary
This position will perform millwright, maintenance, electrical and machine repair principles. It further requires pipefitting, electrical, welding, mechanical/electrical knowledge and the ability to use precision measuring tools, blueprints, electrical test equipment and schematic drawings.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities: **
- The Maintenance Technician uses a variety of machine and hand tools in cutting, fitting, adjusting and fabricating parts for repair or replacement
- Installs and maintains hydraulic, electrical, air, gas. water, steam, fire systems and facility infrastructure equipment
- The Maintenance Technician performs PLC program trouble shooting on equipment, vision systems, robotics, motor controls and equipment repairs and installations
Job Duties:
- Performs a wide variety of electrical, general maintenance and repair duties throughout the plant
- Rigs, moves and installs all types of machinery, drive units and makes machine repairs
- Repairs and fabricates using Tig, Mig, Stick, acetylene/oxygen welding equipment as needed
- Maintains and repairs the physical structure of the plant buildings and related equipment such as doors, floors, ceilings, roof leaks, plumbing fixtures, sewers and drains
- Performs preventative maintenance on all machinery, equipment and facilities, completes required forms and paperwork as scheduled per PM Matrix
- Techs are responsible for leaving each job in a neat and orderly condition
- Operate company vehicles to transport maintenance material as required
- Other duties may include limited guidance duties (i.e., answering the phone, redirecting employee questions and informing operators how long machines may be down, etc.) in the absence of a supervisor

Knowledge & Skills:
- Basic computer skills needed for PLC electrical trouble shooting, programming and other maintenance related programs
- Must have a strong work ethic

- Ability to weld metal parts, components or structures; able to use TIG welding equipment
- Ability to fabricate, assemble or disassemble manufactured products by hand
- Ability to understand technical operating, service or repair manuals
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Working knowledge of gages such as dial calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to interact with employees in a professional manner
- Ability to speak and write English fluently
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately
Work & Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
Physical Demands
This position requires manual dexterity to properly and safely manipulate tools and controls. This position requires frequent walking and standing; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
