Job Description
The Facility Maintenance Technician performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical electrical, and physical structures. Also maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOP’s, internal requirements, manufactures specifications and safety policies. Additionally, the Facility Maintenance Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel. Requires 3 - 5 years’ work-related work experience.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 2pm – 10:30pm, overtime as needed
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Candidate must have proficiency in the following areas:
- Hazard awareness and knowledge of isolation practices Example: Lock-out Tag-out
- PPE understanding use and requirements.
- Using CMMS or paper records to log maintenance work.
- Trouble shooting production equipment breakdowns.
- Hand Tool dexterity.
- Power tool dexterity.
- Tape measure, Caliper, electrical multi meter.
- Stick, Mig welding.
- Fabrication.
- Plumbing.
- Hydraulics Solenoid block symbol and flow understanding with the ability to trouble shoot spool shifting issues, leaking o rings and coil failure.
- Knowledge of the three common Hydraulic fitting usage and proficiency in hose fabrication
- Knowledge of Relay logic, and terminal connections for NC,NO, and COIL.
- 3phase motor knowledge and proficient in trouble shooting bearing failure, coil failure, and root causes of each.
- Single and 3 phase transformer knowledge and proficiency in wiring.
- Knowledge of electrical circuit protection requirements and wire size selection for supported amp loads.
- Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and electrical ladder diagrams.
Education and Experience:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years’ work-related experience.
- Experience in building maintenance technology or relevant field.
