Maintenance Technician- 2Nd Shift

We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician able to perform preventative maintenance as well as emergency repairs to a conveyor line. This position is a "hands on" maintenance position. Must be able to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.

Maintenance Technician Job Description

• Training on the Job! All responsibilities will be trained to the new tech.
• Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance service.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Demonstrates skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of conveyor system and water pumps.
• Reads and interprets manuals, schematics and prints. Schedules and prioritizes work according to urgency and work orders.
• Comply with OSHA and IOSHA Safety and Health rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Maintenance Technician Preferred knowledge (continues training) :

• General Safety
• Lock-out Tag-out
• SDS
• Confined Space
• Required permits
• HAZMAT
• Preventable Maintenance
• Water Pump Replacement

Maintenance Technician Minimum Experience:

• 1+ year of experience within maintenance is preferred but we will train.
• Basic understanding of maintenance (mechanically inclined).
• Ability to complete reports on daily completed maintenance activities.
• 1+ year of electrical experience is required.

Maintenance Technician Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to stand, kneel, and lift throughout the shift.
