Job Description
- Assists in the technical maintenance of all production mechanical and electrical systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation of production equipment. Conducts preventive maintenance tasks to avert equipment failures and undertakes corrective actions to repair equipment, minimizing machine downtime.
- Perform preventive, scheduled, and corrective repairs on equipment, reporting findings to supervisor and taking appropriate action.
- Aid production workers in diagnosing system and equipment malfunctions. Test equipment post-repair, changeovers, or extended downtime.
- Assist with or execute major equipment overhauls. Help troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatic, plumbing, and PLC Software issues.
- Maintain production equipment while adhering to a defined production schedule.
- Operate general machinery and tools such as saws, drills, power tools, scissor lifts, and forklifts.
- Interact with and maintain records in compliance with Maintenance Management System requirements using computer systems.
- Complete duties in alignment with quality assurance, GMPs, safety, and other company procedures, complying with government regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including equipment and tool cleaning, floor sweeping and mopping, and trash removal.
- Coordinate with production personnel and other departments to minimize disruptions to production and maintenance schedules.
- Perform other assigned or required duties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of mechanical and/or electrical experience in industrial and manufacturing machinery, OR 5 years of mechanical and/or electrical experience in industrial and manufacturing machinery.
- Experience in two of the following skills: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and food manufacturing process controls.
- Knowledge of equipment setup, functionality, operating procedures, and preventive maintenance techniques.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and plan work activities effectively.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
