Schedule/Shift: 2nd shift, Mon-Fri (1:00p-9:30p) 3rd Shift, Sun-Thurs (9pm-5:30am)

Brief Job Description: The Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for the care and maintenance of all property and production assets in a safe, sanitary, and efficient condition. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for staying up to date on new products, equipment, technology, and techniques. Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems (to provide a continuous supply of heat, steam, cooling, electrical power, and compressed air for operations). Preventive maintenance, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting. Readily available for emergency repairs in breakdown situations. Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders. Complete work orders in a timely manner maintaining high quality standards. Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production. Responsible for reporting unsafe conditions to the manager along with food safety violations. Comply with HACCP and GMP protocols for production. Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet requirements. Maintain safe work practices at all times; Ensure good housekeeping in the work area. Must be willing to occasionally work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays. Perform duties according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that meet quality and safety standards pertaining to Hazard Analysis and critical Control Points (HACCP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), United States Department of Agriculture (USD), and Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. Conduct behavior in compliance with Lifeway Employee Policy. Must be able to work 2nd Shift (1PM - 9:30PM). Perform other functions as assigned.
