Maintenance Tech Level 1

Job Summary:
The Maintenance position will provide support of preventative and failure based maintenance as required by the plant’s needs. Installs and maintains machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools. The position works to accomplish priorities of day-to-day operations and resolve related problems. Assist with reliability troubleshooting as needed.

Job Responsibilities:
The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Repair/troubleshoot equipment of varying types
• Repair belt and chain drive assemblies
• Proficient welding skills with wire techniques (minimum.)
• Proficient with field fabrication and construction.
• Basic knowledge of all hand tools
• Basic knowledge of equipment alignments/PM’s
• Basic working knowledge of shop machinery is helpful
• Stand for long periods of time
• Ability to climb ladders/stairs, work with heights and perform confined space entry
• Forklift driving experience is helpful
• Watch for and report all safety issues
• Follow all GMP and HACCP policies
• Effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors
• Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero injury culture by being an active participant in safety programs
• Understand and follow company safety procedures

Job Requirements:
To be considered for an opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Commitment to Revela Foods (ADM) goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures
• Exhibit regular and prompt attendance
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, and/or a strong mechanical background to include a minimum of 3-5 years of hands on maintenance and/or millwright experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical school training as mechanic or equivalent highly desired
• The position requires someone who is willing to learn through on-the-job training and/or outside training
• Willing and able to take formal trade school courses as selected by ADM management and take such courses on a continuing basis during the training period
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Prepared to perform all tasks in safe manner
• Read, understand and follow verbal and written instructions and SOP’s
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and available for unscheduled call-in needs or overtime as needed
