Maintenance Tech

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Tech to join our team! You will be responsible for completing work orders and other required tasks.

Shift: 7:00am 3:30pm OT until 5:30pm Occasional Saturdays

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing repair and maintenance on equipment in a production facility. This person reports directly to the Plant Manager is a member of the Production department.

Responsibilities:

• PM on sanding lathe machine
• PM on all hand tools
• Manage calibration log and schedule for measuring devices
• Manage tool crib - monitor inventories and spare parts and keep matrix on part numbers for parts and vendors
• PM on gears and chains on operations we are responsible for service like in Gel area 
• Facility repairs - repair basic needs on facility and equipment
• Clean breakroom and all common areas - trash - 
• Repair equipment and trouble shoot as it breaks down
• Mandrel prepping in between production runs
• Deep cleans of production equipment
• PM on forklifts and other equipment 
• Running lines and installing items that are purchased
• Serves as a back up to production if needed
• Manages the testing and measuring equipment and devices for measuring of chemicals
• Manages paint supplies
• Repairs cords and basic items that do not require a skill trade worker
• Help facilitate plant growth and improvements

​Qualifications:

• Degree in mechanical technology or equivalent experience preferred
• Minimum of 2 years industrial maintenance and electrical experience required
• Previous experience with lean thinking and standardization implementation
• Ability to properly use test equipment, heavy industrial shop tools and equipment, diagnose and trouble-shoot equipment malfunctions and systems failure
• Excellent problem analysis, and problem resolution skills
• Able to handle multiple, complex priorities and balance the needs of each according to business impact
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in awkward positions and tight areas)
