Job description

Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Maintenance Tech II - Weekend Shift.
The hourly rate for this position is $26 + 10% shift differential per hour.
The hours for this role are 6am-6pm Fri, Sat, Sun
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The primary function of this role is under minimal supervision, performs mid level mechanical, electrical, and systems troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturer's manuals, diagrams, schematics and sketches
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs mid to expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: observing devises in operation to locating root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examining parts to detect imperfections; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditioning and repairing machine tools. Utilizes predictive Maintenance Technologies to collect equipment performance data.
  • Construct and alter physical facilities to accommodate changes or improvements.
  • Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary.
  • Independently performs maintenance per industry standards.
  • Drives and participates in CI activities - processes, results and cost savings. Complies with 5S+ standards.
  • Troubleshoots and analyzes control systems to resolve software/ hardware and configuration problems.
  • Provides assistance to other technicians and leadership to small teams. Performs more advanced functions as a part of training and development.
  • Completes on the job and technical self-study programs for career development
  • Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.
  • Will be expected to train others and take on other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • 2 years of related experience in mechanical maintenance industry OR Associate degree with a Technical focus & 1 year of related experience in general industry
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the
  • International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S.
  • Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance

Position Criteria
  • Complies with all national and local safety and environmental standards, guidelines and policies by driving EBS/World class workforce initiatives such as ISO14001 and/or applicable regional initiatives.
  • Understanding of how to use precision gauging instruments.
  • Ability to proactively work with other team members under limited supervision.
  • This position requires standing and/or walking for an entire eight - twelve hours.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance procedures.
  • This job requires working daily with lubricants and solvents.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs.
  • Understand electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and drawings
