Job description

2024 is a great time to join Delta Faucet Company’s team in Lapeer, Michigan. Delta Faucet is looking for an exceptional Maintenance Team Leader to work for our 3rd shift operations. Work schedule is based on core hours of 10:45 pm -7:15am, Sunday for Monday – Friday. Being reliable and meeting our attendance expectations is required, as is flexibility to work both daily and weekend overtime hours as scheduled.

The Delta-Lapeer facility manufactures plastic bathtubs, shower bases and shower wall units.

The Maintenance Leader is responsible for leading the team in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of production equipment and the facility equipment & facilities on second shift. This person must be proficient in the skills of a Maintenance Technician and be able to teach others. The Team Lead is responsible for the safe and efficient production operations of their assigned area. They are the first point of contact for the team members. They work to create success for the team by continuously improving the operations.

Essential job functions include but are not limited to:

  • Assure that the team has the support, training, knowledge, tools, materials, and equipment to perform their jobs.
  • Foster a safe work environment for yourself and your team. Sustain the safety culture and promote safety always. Educate and audit for compliance to safety and 5S standards.
  • Lead by example.
  • Organize the “plan for the day” and communicate and coordinate team activity. Escalate appropriately when abnormal conditions are presented.
  • Lead team meetings and share information.
  • Report out metrics and work collaboratively with other leaders at Tier 2.
  • Practice active problem solving and use the MOS tools to drive continuous improvement.
  • Respect the equipment and facility. Participate in incident investigations.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and an interest in working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Build strong teams, lead by example with a professional and courteous manner, promote a positive work environment, assign work to meet schedule compliance, recognize and celebrate accomplishments of the team
  • Mentor and develop skills of team members, both current and new

Technical job tasks:

  • Build electrical panels, install power drops, wire motors.
  • Install and service electronic equipment.
  • Load and troubleshoot PLC Ladder Logic – Allen Bradley, Siemens and DeviceNet
  • Program, troubleshoot and repair of Fanuc robots.
  • Perform preventative maintenance.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience/Skills:

  • Complete Shop Floor Management TL modules within 12 months of starting in role
  • Prefer 2 years’ experience in a leadership role in a production environment.
  • High School graduate or GED preferred.
  • Ability to interpret reports & analyze data.
  • Proficiently use laptop computer, including MS Office programs & SAP.
  • Demonstrate leadership.
  • Be a role model for the Delta Faucet values.
  • Work independently, make decisions, and collaborate with others.


Must be able to:

  • Lift, bend and reach, including below waist level and above shoulder level.
  • Lift, push and pull weights of up to 25lbs.
  • Use hands to manipulate tools, parts and machine controls.
  • Work on elevated platforms, and in small spaces.
  • Use vision to inspect parts, read labels and inventory sheets.

Pay range for this position is $35.00 – $39. 75 per hour, including shift premium. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills. Delta Faucet hourly team members are performance bonus and benefit eligible within 60 days from hire. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k match, life insurance, paid time off and more.
