Job Description
- Supervises all maintenance personnel and related job activities on a given shift rotation, day, and night.
- Execute administrative duties including timecards, employee coaching and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Drive results based upon the business needs and the goals and schedules.
- Interact and manage contractors and ensure proper GMP as well as Safety practices while onsite.
- Ensures maintenance records are complete and accurate within the computerized maintenance management system.
- Supervisor managing day and night shift mechanics via a direct reporting structure.
- Visually inspects and test machinery / equipment to detect malfunction
- Works with all management and engineering to discuss, diagnose problems and repair machinery.
- Follows and monitors GMP, HACCP, IIPP, Food Safety and SOPs guidelines.
- Effectively work within the EHS Velocity application documenting any safety related incidents.
- Communicates plant issues with all operational and management personnel.
- Assists in providing safe working conditions for all employees.
- Develops and maintains positive and professional relationships with all employees and management.
- Monitors total plant operations and control of automated systems.
- Performs maintenance duties to prevent, improve and streamline process during breakdowns.
- Ensures equipment is conditioned and maintained to meet or exceed quality and customer expectations.
- Optimizes plant efficiency and coordinates plant needs accordingly.
- Performs other related duties as assigned should the need arise.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Bachelor's Degree or appropriate equivalent from an accredited university a definite plus.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Food/Beverage processing facility Industrial in a Maintenance Any other related technical training a definite plus.
- Minimum 2 years industrial boiler and ammonia experience or equivalent certification
- Ability to speak, write, and read English is a must, some Spanish a plus.
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend over, climb stairs and ladders and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess good mechanical, Electrical, communication and people skills.
- Must be able to read Electrical schematics, ladder logic and Blueprints.
- Must be able to follow and communicate clear directions.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure and compute rate, ratio and percentage.
- Proficient in Microsoft programs
- Must be able to manage time proficiently.
