This posting is to create a Hiring List for current and future Full-Time Maintenance Specialist vacancies.
This position is manual to skilled work in the operation of a variety of heavy weight and specialized highway maintenance and road construction equipment, and the performance of a variety of highway maintenance tasks.
Work involves the responsibility for the application of considerable skill and manipulative ability in the safe and efficient operation of various heavy equipment familiar to the highway maintenance and construction industry. Work also involves the operation of light-to-heavy weight and specialized highway maintenance equipment and performing a variety of manual labor tasks associated with highway repair, maintenance and construction. Work of this class is distinguished by the nature of the equipment operated and the nature of other responsibilities through special assignments.
Operationally, Maintenance Specialists are accountable for quality work, equipment preservation, safely and efficiently while performing maintenance repairs and related activities while achieving department objectives. Maintenance Specialists are accountable for positively participating with other department team members in project and department work execution.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Four or more years experience in related field or equivalent knowledge gained through education and/or experience
- Class B CDL and ability to obtain State Issued CDL Class A driver's license within 6 months.
- Air Brake endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- DOT Health Card
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,860.00 - $76,290.00 per year
