The Mechanical Maintenance Planner is charged with supporting the execution of maintenance work by receiving, planning, estimating, scheduling, and recording required historical data. Coordinates work orders with maintenance support to manage backlogs efficiently. Ensures timely and coordinated availability of facilities and equipment to be worked on, parts, materials, and special tools/equipment for orderly and efficient work execution. Provides all documentation needed to perform work and will plan and schedule maintenance work on daily, weekly, and shutdowns as well as track performance and maintain accurate records.
Maintains close liaison with Operations, Stores, Engineering, other Planners, Maintenance Supervision and personnel.
The primary role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve work force productivity by eliminating in advance potential delays and obstacles to efficient work execution, providing coordinated availability of resources, and ensuring thorough backlog management.
What you will work on:
- Daily environmental, health and safety responsibilities for the crew(s).
- Daily management meetings with crews that include human performance fundamentals and high-risk task pre-job safety reviews.
- Develop planned and scheduled work within the CMMS for future activities to improve work force productivity.
- Eliminate potential delays and obstacles to efficient work execution through coordinated availability of resources, parts and material, equipment access and ensuring thorough backlog management within the CMMS.
- Compliance with EHS standards and practices, and results for all maintenance activities
- Plan and coordinate efforts with Departments.
- Develop and manage process improvement projects utilizing ABS principles
- Monitor Departmental safety, quality, cost performance and provide leadership and support to enhance desired performance and behavior
- Establish performance and behavioral expectations
- Please note that off-shift work may be required; typical schedule would be Monday - Friday; some weekend work required.
About you:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of industrial Mechanical maintenance experience with some technical education beyond high school
- Maintenance Planning experience within CMMS
- Associates Degree in a technical discipline
- 5 years industrial Mechanical maintenance experience
