Position Brand Description:
The Lead Specialist - Maintenance Planner - IAPI is responsible for the planning and scheduling of all non-emergency maintenance. Maintains liaison and coordination between the customers and maintenance activities, maintains appropriate records to permit meaningful analysis and reporting of results. Works with Lilly suppliers and Lilly Stores to identify spare parts and input data for equipment records into GMARS. Act as a technical resource for various customers.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
Responsibilities include the following:
- The Lead Specialist - Maintenance Planner - IAPI will maintain and monitor a backlog to prevent delinquent PMs.
- The Lead Specialist - Maintenance Planner - IAPI verifies the availability of parts materials, and special tools required for the jobs and if needed will order parts and materials for planned jobs. Must be able to recognize parts.
- Good communication skills, verbal and written, will be required to interact one on one and in group sessions with operations, engineers, supervisors and craftspersons.
- Understands and shares the vision of the integrated asset management processes also known as PAM.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of GMARS.
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to deal effectively with conflict.
- Knowledge of maintenance scheduling, planning, procedures, and PM programs.
- Attention to detail and accuracy required.
- Knowledge of engineering drawing system and different types of equipment and instrumentation within the building.
- Represent Maintenance in support site objectives.
Basic Requirements:
- This position requires mechanical or chemical and experience with a broad overall understanding of various engineering disciplines. Knowledge of GMARS. Knowledge of maintenance procedures and PM programs. Knowledge of project start up, IQ/OQ and establishing the required maintenance information in GMARS from design documents and systems. Ability to influence across different functions, interpersonal/people skills, technical knowledge/writing, data gathering and analysis, and troubleshooting.

Education Requirements:
- Either some engineering schooling, associate degree, skilled trade training and or experience. Have completed a (4) year Apprenticeship in the trade or equivalent.
Other Information:
- Tasks require entering manufacturing areas which require wearing appropriate PPE.
