WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE:
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing maintenance support on stationary and mobile equipment. This position is also responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Operates splitters/grinder/saws/blaster/tumbler in an efficient and safe manner.
• Reads and evaluates work order/plan of action and plans projects accordingly.
• Performs and documents daily pre-operational inspections on equipment and work areas.
• Performs safety inspections on equipment and makes needed adjustments and or repairs.
• Preforms scheduled equipment services on trucks, forklifts, etc.
• Performs tire repair work and tire maintenance as needed.
• Determines whether to repair or replace worn or dysfunctional parts as needed.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems troubleshooting practices required.
• Performs electrical system troubleshooting and repairs or replaces components as needed.
• Troubleshoots and makes modifications to various equipment as needed.
• Utilizing electronic devices to troubleshoot equipment issues as required.
• Determines if a machine must be shut down for repairs.
• Operates shop equipment; drill press, welders, grinder, digital voltmeters, battery charger, cutting equipment, pressure washer, and any other equipment required to perform duties.
• Assists in fabricating projects working with various materials and tools.
• Component/Parts requisition and purchasing may be required.
• Basic rigging and lifting practices are required as needed.
• Assist with major component recondition is required (Engines, Transmissions, Differentials, Hydraulics).
• Basic welding practices with various metals may be required.
• Heavy Equipment operation, including Forklift operation is required.
• Traveling to satellite locations (Dayton & Sparks) and performing maintenance work is required.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.
