ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
You must meet the following eligibility requirements for consideration: Associate(s) must be currently meeting standards in all areas of job performance and must have flexibility to work any shift.
Job Summary
Performs a variety of installations, maintenance and repair of power equipment, on-line electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, and systems in one or more specialty areas; electrical/electronics, welding/fabrication, material handling systems, plumbing, carpentry, etc. Some Supervision required with scope of special jobs. Expected to lead Junior or entry level techs in more complex situations.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Performs preventative and corrective maintenance action on power equipment, building conveyor, systems, and material handling equipment, proficient in use of ICW and CMMS systems.
- May perform hot-work and/or minor metal fabrication; must be proficient in operating cutting torches and various types of welding equipment.
- May perform minor vertical construction and fabrication with wood, must be proficient in a variety of carpentry skills.
Requirements
- Good communication skills both written and verbal, and basic math skills a must.
- Ability to grasp, bend, lift, or otherwise move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Able to use computer programs Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).
- Ability to work at heights or unusual work positions; must be able to operate all shop equipment and hand tools.
- Must be able to read and understand drawings (i.e., architectural drawings, mechanical schematics, electrical diagrams, plumbing blueprints, etc.).
- Experience in industrial or commercial maintenance field with demonstrated preventative and corrective maintenance experience in material handling systems.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven proficiency in 1 or more of the following areas: electrical/electronics, welding/fabrication, plumbing, electro hydraulics, mechanical and electrical drive systems, PLC controlled systems.
- Familiarity with OSHA/NFPA/NEC standards to include the use and understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Must maintain safe work practices and housekeeping standards.
- Understands Sortation equipment and conveyor (Shoe Sorter, Tilt Tray Sorter, Intelli-Q/Accuglide conveyor)
Special Requirements
- Two (2) plus years working in an industrial or similar maintenance environment.
- This position does require at a minimum the following tools:
• 1 Socket, Wrench and 1 Allen Key set o Both SAE and Metric • 1 Screwdriver set
• 1 Hammer • 1 Multimeter • 1 Pliers set
Additional Factors
- Frequent exposure to lubricants, chemical vapors, aerosols, and other physical demands requiring certain levels of tolerance for working in adverse conditions i.e., noise, dust, heat, weather conditions is necessary. Shift:C-ShiftMonday - Thursday, 4:00pm - 2:30am
Starting Pay based on experience:$25.00/hr with shift differentials on qualifying shifts.
