Salary Range:$23.00 To 37.00 Hourly
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Equipment/Facilities Maintenance Group Leader, the Equipment Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of the CNC machinery and equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assemble and install machinery and equipment to include wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing and programming to meet specifications.
- Study blueprints and manufacturers’ manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery and equipment.
- Prepare requisition for parts and materials needed to perform the job and record parts and materials used.
- Analyze test results, machine error messages and information obtained from operators to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems. Repair or replace defective parts and reassemble machinery and equipment.
- Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeters and other testing devises.
- Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
- Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment including cleaning, lubricating and adjusting parts to be certain that the machinery and equipment continue to run smoothly.
- Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
- Reassemble machinery and equipment after completion of inspections, testing and/or repairs.
- Record and maintain records of repairs and maintenance performed.

- Ability to use hand and power tools including hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, precision measuring instruments, electrical and electronic testing devices.
- Ability to perform skilled work in a variety of building trades including having knowledge of materials, methods, terminology, equipment and tools used.
- Must be able to interpret and work from sketches, blue-prints or drawings.
- Must be knowledgeable of occupational hazards and standard safety practices in the heavy equipment industry.
- Must be knowledgeable of OSHA regulations specific to the machining industry.
- Experience in operating a forklift, crane and overhead hoist.
JOB EXPERIENCE
- Technical School or Certification in Industrial Maintenance
- 5-10 years of combined experience in mechanics and repairer trades, precision production trades
- Production environment experience

Pay Details: $24.00 to $37.00 per hour
