Maintenance Mechanic Manager

The Maintenance Mechanic Manager will be responsible for developing maintenance procedures and ensuring implementation of preventative maintenance systems is achieving production run time goals. The Maintenance Mechanic Manager will lead a team of Mechanics to carry out inspections of facilities to identify and resolve issues as well as check the electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality. Direct as necessary activities of workers engaged in repairs, maintenance, and process improvement. Provide design and installation direction for all new lines and processing equipment along with ensuring proper training for all users.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Directs a team to ensure all production lines are running efficiently and maintenance budget is achieved
• Directs department activities to design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures
• Actively participates in a leadership role working cross-functionally with Management, Production, Sanitation, Purchasing, Shipping, and Quality Assurance
• Forecasts operating costs of the department and directs preparation of budget requests
• Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner
• Directs training of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures
• Manage parts room inventory stock on min/max inventory system
• Manage the reliability team for all of the production packaging line improvements and justify projects needed to improve plant efficiencies
• Manage production line that includes PM and equipment efficiencies
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned
• Plans and schedules facility modifications, including cost estimates.
• Maintains maintenance staff schedule
• Initiates planned maintenance programs for a variety of facility equipment.
• Responsible for the preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC, facility equipment, etc.
• Oversees cleaning and maintenance of the facility.
• Manages the maintenance of the building and equipment.
• Ensures the working operation of the mechanical, electrical, and exercise equipment.
• Possesses awareness and knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Ensures a high level of customer service.
• Keeps in compliance with and abreast of all OSHA regulations.
• Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance

Experience

• Management: 7 years (Preferred)

• Food Processing: 7 years (Preferred)

• Maintenance Mechanic: 7 years (Preferred)

Work Environment

Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and shop environments. The Maintenance Mechanic Manager is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, noise, water, heat, and cold temperatures below 0 degrees.

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position. However, the positions require overnight on-call duty and the ability to work during nonstandard hours when the need arises.
