Maintenance Mechanic (Grades 4-6) Boiler Operator

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of boiler plant, air compressors, breathing air compressors along with associated dryer/purifiers and adiabatic cooling tower.

Provide support to piping service, but not limited to piping installations, welding, troubleshooting, and repair of yard water, sewer, steam condensate and plumbing systems. Operation of boiler plant and air compressors.

Preferred:

- High School Diploma/GED

Required:
- State of Maine Boiler Operator's licence ( Grade C)

4th class Grade B

3rd Class Grade A

2nd Class Grade AA

Required:

- 5-10 years' experience in industrial/commercial plumping, pipefitting, boiler operation, waste disposal and potable water systems
- Familiarity with IBC codes

- Demonstrate ability to work steam, condensate, water and sewer systems

- Knowledge of steam distribution and condensate recovery systems

- Working knowledge and experience with operation and Maintenance of gas/oil fired boilers, air compressors and air dryers

Preferred:
- Maine State plumbing licence
