Job Description
- Respond promptly to emergency equipment breakdowns and conduct scheduled maintenance on production machinery, emphasizing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Demonstrate proficiency in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs for packaging and production equipment.
- Work autonomously, exhibiting strong self-starting capabilities and minimal need for supervision.
- Utilize blueprints, electrical schematics, and ladder logic to interpret and address issues effectively.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments, replace or repair parts, and conduct testing and adjustments as needed.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery and facility equipment, with a focus on electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot PLC and other electrical issues within production equipment.
- Employ a range of hand and power tools, electric meters, and milling equipment for maintenance tasks.
- Identify and report faulty operations, defective materials, and unusual situations to appropriate management.
- Adhere to safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in work areas.
- Read and review schematics and operating manuals for equipment repair and maintenance.
- Complete work orders and documentation related to daily maintenance activities.
- Address general building maintenance tasks, including plumbing, roofing, fire systems, and carpentry repairs.
- Conduct various maintenance activities requiring expertise in pipefitting, welding, fabrication, and other skilled trades.
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, pumps, motors, hydraulic systems, boilers, fillers, and facility equipment, emphasizing electrical components.
- Fabricate and rebuild parts as necessary to ensure continuous equipment functionality
Requirements:
- HS diploma/GED (Apprenticeship or applicable certifications preferred)
- 4-7 years electrical mechanical maintenance experience.
- Must provide his own tools to make repairs and/or make adjustments.
- Excellent electrical & mechanical aptitude.
- Must demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge in top sealers, case erectors, conveyors, mixers, pumps, and tape machines
- Experience in Food Production or juice filling equipment is a plus.
- Experience with welding/fabrication, sanitary welding is a plus.
- Able to handle multiple tasks with capability of prioritizing and planning work activities.
- Understanding of PLC and computer-based control systems with the ability to diagnose and repair the issue.
- Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
- Good verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to complete daily maintenance work orders and PMs.
- Knowledge of GMPs, lock out/ tag out, and arc flash is a plus.
