Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this position is the heartbeat of our operations, where you'll be driving excellence in machine maintenance, facilities, and setup. You will lead and mentor the teams associated with these key functions.
What You'll Be Doing:
Management:
- Oversee the maintenance, setup and facilities team and ensure the effective execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Responsible for building and maintaining programs for preventive, proactive, and predictive maintenance. Enhance the work but also elevate our entire team and environment.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures to optimize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Implement initiatives to enhance business efficiencies, manage maintenance costs, and ensure process reliability.
Setup Reduction:
- Lead and drive initiatives for setup reduction, focusing on improving changeover times and operational efficiency.
- Implement lean principles and methodologies to streamline processes and reduce setup times.
- Work closely with production teams to identify opportunities for setup improvement and implement sustainable solutions.
Equipment Optimization:
- Conduct regular assessments of equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement strategies to enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality spare parts.
Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop training programs to enhance the skills of the team.
- Encourage a proactive approach to maintenance problem-solving.

What You Bring to the Table:
- Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in the installation and maintenance of molding equipment, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, air conditioning, and water processing systems. Prior plastics manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
- Tech Savvy: Strong familiarity with electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, automation, and mechanics. Electrical experience in PLCs and plant automation is a definite plus.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and a teamwork-oriented mindset. Demonstrate your ability to mentor and train others in both mechanical and electrical aspects.
- Time Management Pro: A time management pro who can juggle multiple tasks and projects while maintaining focus and delivering top-notch results.
- Physical Requirements: You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves – must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and operate effectively in various temperatures.
