Position Details:
- 1st Shift: Monday - Friday (8 Hour Shifts); Potential Overtime
- Up to $27.00/hour (Wage dependent upon skill set and experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains cleanliness of the production equipment and inside and outside of the facility
- Sweeps and cleans areas using the following equipment: brooms, brushes, mops, sweepers, scrubbing machine, vacuum cleaner, floor sweeping machine, etc.
- Ability to paint walls, straight lines on the floor, and additional floor markings for safety
- Performs preventive maintenance
- Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies
- Assist other maintenance personnel with tasks
- Replace light bulbs
- Clean windows
- Keep sidewalks and entranceways clear of snow
- Other duties as assigned
Competencies:
- Mechanical aptitude and basic ability to solve problems with all departmental equipment and perform some basic repairs or coordinate repairs with maintenance
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with coworkers and supervisors about critical areas including work instructions, safety quality, and machine operations
- Team player and willing to work on a variety of different tasks
- Must be able to prioritize job duties
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Required to obtain forklift and scissors lift / boom lift certification
- Ability to work closely with all staff
- Ability to read work orders
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, decimal & fraction conversions)
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Physical Demands:
- Must wear protective gear for the designated work area
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, and use hands to work with tools or controls
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and move from place to place
- Must be able to regularly climb, balance, and reach above shoulders
- Must be able to work from an elevated platform at 25 ft. (using safety equipment)
- Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. frequently
