Maintenance is responsible for all janitorial responsibilities for garages and surface lots, ensuring they are maintained and cleaned daily. Interface with customers, handle disputes, and provide effective communication between departments, co-workers, customers, and clients.
Job Duties:
- Ensure garages and surface lots are maintained and cleaned on a daily basis.
- Must arrive to work at scheduled time
- Guaranteeing the outdoors are kept clean, structured, and free from any debris
- Responsible for general maintenance of the garage and surface lots - sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash
- All the Parking Structures (P1 & P6) and open parking lots (P2 thru P5 & P7 thru P10) to be cleaned daily
- Remove all papers, leaves, dirt, and other debris from floors, parking lots, driveways, driving lanes, driving aisles, walkways, stairways, pedestrian ramps, recycling areas, and around wheel stops
- Empty trash bins and liners
- Responsible for ensuring all daily duties on maintenance checklist are completed efficiently and timely
- Greet customers, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude
- Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
- Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
- Notifies manager(s) about the need for minor or major repairs within the parking structure
- Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
- Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours if applicable
- Maintain all the stairwells free of trash and well clean all the rails along with the Elevator's doors and landings
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience with general facility maintenance required.
- Experience in customer relations.
- Parking industry experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
- Willingness to be flexible, work multiple facility locations.
- Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
- Must be able to work unsupervised.
- Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
- Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
- Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
- Must be able to work outdoors and in various weather conditions – heat, wind, rain, etc.
