We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior PLC Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting, reprogramming, and configuring various PLC systems, including but not limited to Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Mitsubishi. The Senior PLC Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our industrial processes by utilizing their expertise in PLCs, AC/DC drives, and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, reprogram, and configure PLC systems such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Mitsubishi.
- Comfortably plug into PLCs, understand existing ladder logic, and systematically make changes to programs as needed.
- Perform troubleshooting on AC/DC drives to ensure optimal functionality.
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot HMIs to meet operational requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement changes and improvements to control systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and operators.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in PLC technology.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in PLC troubleshooting, reprogramming, and configuration.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with PLC systems, including Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Mitsubishi.
- Proficient in troubleshooting AC/DC drives.
- Demonstrated ability to program, configure, and troubleshoot HMIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to industry regulations.
Desired Qualifications:
- 15 or more years of experience in PLC systems and industrial automation.
- Industry certifications related to PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with other industrial control systems and technologies.
- Project management experience.
